Companies and residency
Company address in Sarajevo: full office or business-centre address?
Every company in Bosnia needs a registered address. When a business-centre address is enough, when you need your own office, and what to ask before signing.
Bosnian law requires a registered address in the country, where official mail arrives and which appears in the company register. Not every business needs a full office from day one.
Why the address matters
Mail from the tax office, court and bank goes there. If nobody collects an official letter, the deadline still runs.
Option one: a business-centre address
The centre receives your mail and you book a meeting room or desk when needed. It suits owners who run the company from abroad and activities managed remotely.
Option two: your own office
Needed if staff work there daily, you receive customers, or your activity requires specific premises and an inspection.
What to ask before signing
- Is the contract in a form the court accepts?
- Who receives mail and how am I told?
- Can I use a meeting room?
- How long is the contract and how does it end?
Address and residency
If you apply for residence on the basis of your company, you may be asked about its real activity and premises.
